And mummealdaily is my little corner of the internet!
I launched mummealdaily in the spring of 2018 while I was still working 9‑to‑5 as a marketing analyst in Charlotte. I was juggling spreadsheets, client calls, and a growing craving for quick, wholesome meals that didn’t feel like a chore. One sleepless night I scribbled a simple recipe for a one‑pot quinoa‑chicken bowl, posted it on a humble WordPress blog, and the rest just kind of snowballed.
By the end of 2020 I quit my day job and went full‑time on the site. Today mummealdaily publishes over 120 tested recipes, three seasonal e‑cookbooks, and a weekly newsletter that reaches more than 45,000 subscribers each month. In March 2024 we hit a milestone of 10 million page views and were featured in Southern Living for our “30‑Minute Family Dinners” series. I’ve also started a small shop where I sell my handwritten recipe cards and a line of spice blends that I created in my kitchen.
I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband, Mark, and our two kids, Lily (7) and Noah (4). When I’m not stirring a pot, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge, tending to my herb garden, or digging through crates of vintage vinyl records. My favorite things are a steaming mug of Earl Grey on a rainy morning, the smell of fresh basil, and the sound of my kids laughing while they “help” in the kitchen.
One little quirk? I still keep that original notebook where I wrote the quinoa‑chicken bowl recipe. It’s dog‑eared, stained with tomato sauce, and sits on my kitchen counter as a reminder that every big thing starts with a single, imperfect step.
